• "Events Team" meeting

  The "Events Team," the ministry that plans and carries out many of the parish events throughout the year, is looking to add members. We will be meeting on Monday, April 9 at 7 PM in the Faith Formation Center, to make general plans for our Spring and late Summer parish dinners, pumpkin sale, October festival,and other possibilities for our community. Members of the events team can opt to be involved in any or all of the activities
  planned.

  Virtus Training—Protecting God’s Children
  Saturday, April 14, 8:30-11:30AM in the Faith Formation Center at 9 Academy Hill
  Protecting God’s Children for Adults educates clergy, staff, volunteers, and other parish adults about child sexual abuse and the ways to create safe environments for children.
  
  This program is a one time class that is mandatory for all members or volunteers of a church ministry and all St. John School volunteers.

  Our Men's Group will meet on Tuesday, April 17 at 7:30 PM in the Church Hall. At this meeting we are fortunate to have Father Jim Sullivan coming to talk about "life after Easter".
  Now that our Lenten sacrifices are over, the Easter candy is eaten and the colored eggs turned into egg salad, how should we
  carry Easter forward into our everyday lives? What are the lessons from Easter that can be a part of how we live, how we work and how we act?
  Father Jim will join us to share his reflections as we discuss our "lives after Easter".
  Come join us from 7:30-9:00 PM in the St. John's Church Hall for sharing and fellowship. All are welcomed.

  The next time our parish is scheduled to supply and serve the noon meal is this Saturday.
  
  If you can supply a 2 lb. cooked meat loaf, cans of vegetables, or would like to help serve, please sign up on the sheet located at the parking-lot side entrance to the church.
  
  Bring your meat loaf and vegetables to the church parking lot at 9:00 AM on Saturday.
