10th Grade/Confirmation II

10th grade/Confirmation II is a sacramental year. The students usually receive their Sacrament of Confirmation in the Spring, late April or early May. The date and time is provided by the Archdiocese of Hartford and the Confirmation service takes place at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph.

During the program year, the students attend classes (once a month), are given homework, and take part in a special project called “Saint Walk” where each student presents a poster with various information on their
chosen patron saint.

The students are also required to go through an interview with a priest or a deacon and attend a retreat prior to receiving their Sacrament of Confirmation.

Confirmation II students are required to collect 15 hours of community service during the program year that spans from September to April. 7 of the 15 hours have to be completed within the parish/community setting.

Please note that the students are required to attend all classes, with permission to miss one, complete all the assigned homework, attend all events/projects and complete their community service hours prior to receiving their Sacrament of Confirmation.
