Weekly Parish News  for the Weekend of Aug 14th

Sunday Masses: Continue to follow the schedule of Saturday 5pm, and Sunday 7:30am, 9am, and 11am
 
Mass Volunteers: Volunteers are in demand to make social distancing at Masses possible. You can sign up on our live volunteer sign up page here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090b44aead29aaf58-august.  Presently, some of our “regular” weekend help are on vacation or following post-travel quarantine requirements  and are not able to assist, at the moment. Ushers to assist with seating are much appreciated. 
 
Parish Ministries: Ministry heads & involved persons on behalf of ministries should touch base with our parish life office in regards to intents for Fall 2020 programming. 
 
October Events: As expected, we will not be holding our annual October Festival for 2020. We do, however, plan on running our Pumpkin Patch this Fall! 
 
Soup Kitchen: Soup Kitchen Saturday is August 22, 2020. Our staff will transport donations of meatloaf and vegetables from our parking lot. Drop off is from 8:30am - 9am. In September, we will begin offering volunteer opportunities with St Vincent de Paul beginning on September’s Soup Kitchen Saturday. 
 
C4C Young Adults: Continue Monday evening meeting, typically outdoors, in front of the FFC building. Meetings begin at 6:45pm. 
 
New Beginnings Project: Each year, our parish quietly participates in the “New Beginnings” Program, a local drive that collects school supplies for families not able to provide the means to do so. Saint John the Evangelist has committed to provide 15 students with back to school supplies. If you are able and willing, please consider dropping one or some of the following items off at the parish office or church side exit:
