Lenten Observances

Confessions

For your convenience, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered every Lenten Monday in every parish in the Archdiocese of Hartford.  At St. John the Evangelist Church, confessions will be heard from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.  Confessions are also heard on Saturdays from 3:00 to 3:30 PM at St. Mary Magdalen Church.

Adoration

At St. John the Evangelist, our Monday Holy Hour continues during Lent, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  On Lenten Fridays, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed after the 12:10 PM Mass and will be reposed just before the beginning of the Stations of the Cross.  The Blessed Sacrament cannot be left alone, so we need people to sign up to be present during the time between Exposition and enediction.  Sign up sheets are at the parking lot side entrance to the church.

Stations of the Cross

Join us for the Stations of  the Cross on Fridays at 7 PM at both St. Mary Magdalen and St. John the Evangelist Churches.
