The Council of Catholic Women of St. John the Evangelist Church is proud to sponsor this year’s World Day of Prayer to be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 12:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Church. Light refreshments will be shared after the service.

World Day of Prayer is an international event that unites Christian women and men in over 170 countries in prayer.  Originating in 1927, it is celebrated the first weekend in March throughout the world.  It strives to bring prayer and prayerful action to  our communities.  Those women interested in taking part in speaking roles are invited to a rehearsal on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM at St. John Church.

World Day of Payer 2020 gives us the opportunity to learn about the country of Zimbabwe. The theme this year is “Rise! Take Up Your Mat and Walk!”
