Parish Ministries Update

Our various Parish Ministries are busy planning what can safely be done this fall. We will update this list as more plans are finalized.  Each ministry has different environmental requirements, size, risk levels and member demographics.  At any point, it may be necessary to modify or suspend parish ministries, based on pandemic associated circumstances.

While our Council of Catholic Women will not meet in person this fall, they will sponsor a series of service activities.

  • Sept 12-13. SOCK DRIVE for the homeless
  • Oct 3-4. FOOD DRIVE to benefit the Brian O’Connell Homeless Program and the local Watertown Food Bank.
  • Dec 5-6. TOY DRIVE - to benefit Carolyn’s Place and Wtn Park and Rec. — in place of our usual Giving Tree.

Crossroads4Christ will continue to meet outdoors on Monday evenings at 6:45PM.  Beginning Oct 22: they will meet on Thursdays at the FFC, 7PM;  with Adoration 8-8:30PM

The Respect Life Ministry will soon resume monthly Wednesday evening meetings.

The Quilting Ministry has been busy making baptism quilts from their homes this spring and summer.  They will resume their meetings in the Church Hall on Thursday, September 17 from 10AM - 2PM.  They welcome new members!

The Buildings & Grounds Ministry continues to complete projects, such as painting, hedge trimming and weeding, with small groups of members.

The Soup Kitchen Ministry continues to collect food for the    St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, on the 4th Saturday of each month.  Beginning on September 26, Volunteers will be able to go to the Soup Kitchen to serve the meal, following safety procedures.

Our Events Team has no large gatherings planned until the spring of 2021, but will assist with the Pumpkin Patch.
