Novena to the Holy Spirit February 21- March 1

We are offering an opportunity to all parishioners to grow in our Faith as a community here at St. John's. We will be holdingĀ  a novena in honor of the Holy Spirit starting on Thursday, February 21.

The novena in honor of the Holy Spirit is the oldest of all novenas, since it was first made at the direction of Our Lord Himself when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Spirit. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful for the light, strength and love so sorely needed by every Christian.

We will begin the novena on Thursday, February 21 at St. John Church from 6:30 - 7:15 PM. Members will continue the novena through personal prayer and reflection for the next nine days on their own, coming together again only on the last day of the novena for a closing prayer and reflection (March 1).

If one of your New Year's resolutions was to get back into a regular prayer life or to deepen the one you have, this simple novena is a great way to do that. When you come, materials and information will be provided that will help guide you through the prayers and readings which take about 15-20 minutes per day.
