The St. John’s Men’s Group is holding our second annual pot luck supper for group members, and their family & friends on Saturday, July 18th from 5 to 9 pm. Even if you have not come to one of our monthly meetings, you are welcome to come to this event and meet other parishioners and their families. It promises to be a fun time for anyone who comes.
It will be at the home of Don & Donna Kelly in MIDDLEBURY, just down the block from St. John of the Cross Church at the corner of CT-188 and "The Green" [also Westover High School]: All family members invited!
There is a large lawn area for games (for participants of every age): badminton, croquet, bocce, lawn darts and even, if we're careful, "Jarts"!! plus.. darts on the porch..!!
We will be having a pulled pork night. Some pulled pork will be provided as well as a variety of salads and condiments If you would like something other than pulled pork, please feel free to bring anything that "fits" into a slider bun: chicken tenders, vegetables, your favorite cheese, fish sticks(?).
Then, please sign up to bring a dish to share. A sign up list is available on the invitation website. Some pulled pork and salads, paper goods and utensils will be provided. We'll have some soft drinks, beer, wine, water, coffee, and tea. Feel free to also bring your favorite beverage if you'd like. Even if you can't bring anything.. come.. we'll have plenty. Just let us know you are coming so we can plan. Provide your email address for an “official” invitation and a copy of the signup list or simply call the Parish Office and give your name to Nora.
