We are looking for students in grades 3 through 11, who have already received their First Holy Communion and are interested in offering their time as Altar Servers at Mass.

This is a very important position for our young students. They are needed to assist the Priest at Mass in a variety of ways. Servers may carry the cross, the processional candles, hold the book for the priest celebrant when he is not at the altar, carry the incense and censer, present the bread, wine, and water to the priest during the preparation of the gifts or assist him when he receives the gifts from the people, wash the hands of the priest, assist the priest celebrant and deacon as necessary.

Being an altar server does require some training. Fr. Anthony has planned an Altar Server Training to be held on June 24, at 9:00 AM in St. John Church. This training will be for new servers and experienced servers. Please call the Parish Office at 860-274-8836 to register for the training.
